Upgraded SentiVeillance SDK Enables Facial Recognition on 10 Camera Feeds with One PC

Neurotechnology has announced an upgraded version of its SentiVeillance SDK.

Version 6.0 allows for the use of facial recognition on up to 10 surveillance feeds simultaneously using just one computer, and adds a GPU to help increase the speed of its scanning. It also allows users to dynamically adjust the system to focus more on speed or accuracy.

In a statement announcing the upgraded SDK, Neurotechnology Surveillance Technologies Research Lead Ignas Namajunas explained that the system’s machine learning neural networks have been “trained on a larger quantity of data,” allowing SentiVeillance to offer “better generalization for a variety of conditions.”

The last major upgrade of SentiVeillance arrived late last summer, when the SDK integrated Neurotechnology’s VeriLook facial recognition algorithm. As before, SentiVeillance 6.0 offers not only facial recognition but also pedestrian and vehicle detection, and virtual geofencing.
