“It was only a couple of weeks ago that FPC and Precise Biometrics announced the integration of the same setup – an FPC1155 running Precise BioMatch Mobile – in a device from an unnamed Taiwan-based OEM…”
Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics are celebrating another smartphone integration.
In statements announcing this latest deployment of their respective technologies, neither company specified the client in question, but they alluded to an OEM based in Taiwan. Its new smartphone offers fingerprint scanning based on Precise Biometrics’ flagship algorithm software Precise BioMatch Mobile, via an FPC1155 sensor, a sensor model that has previously been used in devices like the ZUK Z2 line of smartphones.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that FPC and Precise Biometrics announced the integration with the same setup – an FPC1155 running Precise BioMatch Mobile – in a device from an unnamed Taiwan-based OEM, but it isn’t clear if that was the same client in question here. In any case, the integrations demonstrate both companies continuing success in the mobile biometrics market.
For FPC, these kinds of standard integrations may be overshadowed somewhat by its recent under-glass sensor deployments with Huawei; but it all adds up to greater market reach for the sensor supplier.
