Safran Identity & Security has announced its support for the European Cyber Security Organization‘s (ECSO) public-private partnership with the European Commission.
The company’s support is very much called for—it’s a founding member of the ECSO, and a major player in the digital security market in Europe and around the world. Moreover, Safran Identity & Security’s SVP of Strategy and International Development, Pierre Lahbabi, has been elected to the managing board of the ECSO.
In a statement announcing its support, Safran Identity & Security explained that the PPP “will determine research and innovation priorities, including allocation of the associated budget, which has been doubled for the next three years.” Lahbabi commented that the Safran team is “delighted to participate in this initiative which aims to strengthen European capacities within the field and better coordinate efforts of the various stakeholders.”
Safran Identity & Security is among 47 other organizations comprising the ECSO, with members including public and private groups based in 14 different countries.
