Precise Biometrics Enters Licensing Agreement With EOSMEM

Precise Biometrics has entered into a licensing contract with a new partner, Taiwan-based EOSMEM.

The latter has licensed Precise BioMatch Mobile, Precise Biometrics’ flagship biometric algorithm software for mobile devices. The deal entails an initial fixed licensing fee, with royalty revenues to come from future integrations.

In a statement announcing the licensing contract, Precise Biometrics CEO Håkan Persson called EOSMEM “a new interesting sensor vendor”. The latter’s website lists integrated circuit solutions including ‘AC-DC Power IC’, ‘Car Charger IC’, and ‘Lighting Driver and Controller IC’, among others in its product line offerings, suggesting that Precise Biometrics’ technology could wind up in a range of products.

Persson went on to add that the Precise Biometrics team is “looking forward to our collaboration,” and asserted that the agreement “further strengthens our local presence in Asia and our position as the leading supplier of fingerprint software.”
