“While the company has risen to prominence as a biometric software supplier for the mobile market in large part through its partnership with sensor maker FPC, it has lately sought to diversify its roster of partners in a bid to expand its reach in the industry…”
Precise Biometrics‘ algorithm software is being used in two new mobile devices.
One of them is the new OnePlus 3T, an integration that comes by way of longtime hardware partner Fingerprint Cards. It’s the newest iteration of the OnePlus 3 announced this past summer, which also featured an FPC sensor running Precise BioMatch Mobile, Precise Biometrics’ flagship algorithm software.
The other new integration is in a device from a Taiwan-based client. Precise Biometrics hasn’t named the company in question, but has revealed that the integration comes by way of a Synaptics sensor; and here it may be worth noting that Synaptics has just announced that its FS4300 sensor is being integrated into a new tablet from Taiwan-based ASUS.
The pair of integrations helps to illustrate Precise Biometrics’ current business model: While the company has risen to prominence as a biometric software supplier for the mobile market in large part through its partnership with sensor maker FPC, it has lately sought to diversify its roster of partners in a bid to expand its reach in the industry – an effort that appears to be paying off.
