Behavioral biometrics firm NuData Security has received some major accolades from Info Security Products Guide. The advisory guide named the company’s NuDetect system the Gold Winner of the 2015 Global Excellent Awards in the category of Security Products and Solutions for Online and E-commerce; and the company was also a Bronze Winner in the category of Fraud Prevention.
NuData’s NuDetect system was recognized for its use of behavioral analysis technology in preventing online fraud, and for its utility in providing organizations with the tools to monitor suspicious online activity on an ongoing basis. The awards were the product of a selection process involving 50 judges from across the security industry.
In a statement acknowledging the awards, NuData Security CEO Michel Giasson said the company is “honored to receive this endorsement of our solution among the best-of-the-best security products,” adding, “We recognize that we must continue to innovate, to stay ahead of the rapidly-evolving criminal behavior.”
The company was in the news here recently announcing upgrades to its NuDetect online fraud detection system that would shift its focus more to fraud prevention, a step towards a more comprehensive approach than the initial fraud detection and passive authentication focus the system had in its earlier incarnation. Given the growing interest in behavioral biometrics in security applications, these awards could give the company a major boost in promoting the company and its NuDetect system to more clients.
