The Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technological combo is once again powering a new smartphone—in this case Nubia’s Z11. The China-based OEMs latest mobile device features FPC hardware running Precise Biometrics algorithm software.
The Z11 uses an FPC1035 sensor—the same sensor model that was recently incorporated in Coolpad’s Max Lite smartphone. And like many other smartphones featuring FPC hardware, the device’s biometric capability is also powered by Precise BioMatch Mobile software.
For its part, Nubia is no stranger to biometric technology. The company integrated eye vein biometrics into its Z9 Mini Elite last autumn. Fingerprint biometrics, meanwhile, are a much more popular modality, and fingerprint scanners being an increasingly standard feature on mobile devices. That trend has helped to propel the businesses of companies like FPC and Precise Biometrics, whose technologies are often paired together as they are in the new Z11.
