NextGate will attend the HIMSS17 Annual Conference and Exhibition and plans to highlight its biometric solution for patient identification and EHR management, the company has announced.
NextGate introduced facial recognition to its MatchMetrix patient records management system late last summer, and quickly proceeded to integrate it into its XDS Registry & Repository platform. In a statement announcing its attendance of this year’s HIMSS, the company called facial recognition “a low-cost solution that is easily adopted for the user and can be deployed in various patient registration and check-in environments”. The company also indicated that it will offer live demos of the technology for HIMSS attendees from its booth at the event.
The event offers a good opportunity to reach an interested audience, with HIMSS being a non-profit organization aimed at promoting IT development in the North American healthcare industry. The organization comprises 64,000 members, many of whom are expected to attend this year’s HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition and are likely to be intrigued by biometric solutions that can improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
NextGate will showcase its facial recognition technology alongside other solutions like its Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and its Intelligent Data Aggregation Server (iDAS).
