NEC Smart Enterprise is a solution designed to analyze shopper demographics while also analyzing shoppers’ flow through the retail environment and associated measures.
NEC is going to pitch its biometric shopper analytics solutions at this year’s National Retail Federation Big Show.
Some elements of its showing might feel a little familiar to some attendees. NEC was at last year’s Big Show, and a couple of the solutions it showed off back then were based on its NeoFace facial recognition engine; NeoFace Watch was offered as a loss prevention solution, while NeoFace Engage enabled dynamic in-store marketing based on shoppers’ age and gender.
Now, that technology has been integrated into NEC Smart Enterprise, a solution similarly designed to analyze shopper demographics while also analyzing shoppers’ flow through the retail environment and associated measures. NEC showcased this kind of technology at last month’s IoT Solutions World Congress, though at that time it didn’t have the ‘NEC Smart Enterprise’ branding, and NEC was placing a strong emphasis on its use of Microsoft Azure IoT Suite.
NRF’s Big Show will run from January 15th to 17th.
