A London-based startup offering a multimodal authentication service has raised £4 million in a Series A funding round.
Called AimBrain, the startup’s eponymous platform combines facial and voice recognition with behavioral biometrics, analyzing patterns in how users type, grip their devices, and so on, for added authentication.
The funding round was led by BGF Ventures, and follows a venture capital investment of £350,000 from Episode 1 Ventures in December of 2015. The funding points to the growing excitement about multimodal biometric authentication, and the rising interest in behavioral biometrics, which has found particularly high appeal in the financial services sector.
AimBrain’s management have indicated the new funding will go toward building the company’s team.
