MorphoTrust USA is receiving a major government honor for its collaborative efforts in protecting sensitive information and programs. Established in 1966 by the Defense Security Service (DSS), the annual James S. Cogswell Award is given to less than one percent of the more than 13,000 official government contractors, and MorphoTrust will receive it at a ceremony in Nashville today.
In a statement announcing its selection for the award, MorphoTrust highlighted its recent successes in the area of standards certification, with the company having become the first driver license producer to attain both ISO and NASPO certified, and also having won the 2016 CSO50 Award in recognition of its facilities’ security processes. MorphoTrust Chief Security Officer said his team is “thrilled” about the recognition, affirming that the company’s government customers “expect an exceptional level of privacy and security.”
Indeed, with MorphoTrust being a key partner in the US Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck biometric traveller screening program, and also the producer of 80 percent of America’s driver licenses, its reliability as a government partner is critical to its business. This latest award should help to further burnish its credibility in this area.
