Identity solutions provider MorphoTrust (Safran) has received a major new accolade from CSO for its production standards. The company has been named a 2016 CSO50 Award honoree ahead of the CSO50 Conference + Awards event next April (18th – 20th) in Arizona.
The award recognizes the security processes in place at MorphoTrust’s US driver license facilities. The company had sought to attain high levels of security certification from the North American Security Product Organization (NASP), and to that end it has succeeded in having the greatest number of NASPO certified ID credential production facilities in the world, with two of its six facilities having been accredited with Class I certification.
In a statement acknowledging the CSO50 recognition, MorphoTrust USA Chief Security Officer Dennis Kallelis called it “an important validator of the hard work the security team and manufacturing team have done to secure the production of U.S. driver licenses.”
Earlier this fall, MorphoTrust also received the high-level ISO 14298 certification for some of its driver licence production facilities. It’s partly due to this attention to security, even at the production level, that has helped the company to become a favorite contractor to the US government, with MorphoTrust even getting contracts for more experimental ID technologies like biometric mobile driver licenses.
