“…Knomi also features ‘proprietary liveness detection techniques that use both passive and interactive methods’ to thwart spoofing attempts.”
Aware, Inc. has announced a new mobile authentication solution that combines behavioral biometrics with facial and voice recognition.
Called Knomi, the solution is available as a package of SDKs. It can be deployed either as a server-based solution, or as an on-device solution compliant with FIDO Alliance standards. And clients can select the modalities to be used on an a la carte basis, choosing the right ones for the needs of each application.
It’s the first big solution to emerge from the company since it shifted from dual-CEO leadership to a sole chief executive earlier this year.
In a statement announcing the solution, Aware asserted that its biometric algorithms “deliver top-tier accuracy and speed performance,” and added that Knomi also features “proprietary liveness detection techniques that use both passive and interactive methods” to thwart spoofing attempts. Aware Marketing & Product VP David Benini, meanwhile, stressed its “extraordinary degree of flexibility for CISOs and users alike”.
Aware will demo Knomi at next week’s Money20/20 event in Las Vegas, where the surging popularity of biometric solutions in financial services is likely to carry on from the excitement seen last year.
