KeyLogic, an engineering and project management consultancy firm, is expanding into the biometrics market with a new acquisition: The company has purchased CrossResolve, a government-focused advisory firm.
The move comes about a year after KeyLogic hired Kevin Reid, a former FBI executive who focused on biometric technology while at the Bureau. In a statement announcing the acquisition, KeyLogic said it “plans to build upon CrossResolve’s contracts and relationships supporting the federal government, which includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security among others.”
The acquisition also arrives at a time of intensifying government interest in biometric technologies, particularly for law enforcement and border control.
According to CrossResolve founder Valerie Evanoff, her firm has supported 14 federal programs and 11 state and federal agencies over the last six years. With the acquisition, Evanoff has become a strategic advisor to the KeyLogic team.
