Global Security News (GSN) has recently announced the recipients of its Airport, Seaport, Border Security Awards and among the winners is Iris ID. The iris biometrics company has been named the winner in the category of Best Biometric Identification/Authentication Facility.
GSN’s managing partner and CEO, Adrian Courtenay, comments: “Iris ID has proved itself to be a standout leader in IRIS-based ID Authentication, with products that provide high integrity mass enrollment applications, physical access security airports, national ID programs, secure border crossings, data centers, biometric labs, HAZMAT environments and other critical infrastructure applications.”

In March of this year, findBIOMETRICS president Peter O’Neill interviewed Mohammed Murad, vice president of sales at Iris ID. The discussion revolved around biometric deployments in education, at the Canadian borders and, of course, the company’s involvement with India’s Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), an extension of the government’s in charge of forwarding the country’s national ID Aadhaar initiative.
Recently, as part of Physical Access Control Month, Iris ID was featured in an examination of bring your own credential technologies in security deployments.
