Integrated Biometrics‘ production facility in Seoul has received ISO 9001 certification, the company has announced.
The latest certification complements previous recognition from the International Organization for Standardization, which offered ISO 9001:2008 certification to the company last summer for its management, quality control, purchasing, and other measures. In a statement, Integrated Biometrics Korea President Daniel Jang suggested the Seoul facility’s accreditation process helped the company to improve its processes, calling it “intense yet rewarding, as it offered us an opportunity to enhance our manufacturing capabilities through a comprehensive review of our internal practices.”
The Seoul facility is involved in the production of a number of the company’s signature FBI-compliant fingerprint scanning devices, including the Sherlock sensor and the Watson Mini. These products are popular with clients in law enforcement, and this latest ISO certification could prove useful in further marketing the devices toward standards-conscious government agencies.
The facility is also producing Integrated Biometrics’ newest offering, an as yet unnamed ten-print roll scanner that the company plans to launch at the Connect:ID trade show in March.
