Healthcare IT specialist Imprivata will be showcasing its technologies at the upcoming 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition. The company says that in addition to highlighting its currently available products and solutions, it will also be showing off some new technologies.
The company is tight-lipped about those new offerings, but has indicated that of its current portfolio, it will be highlighting its access management, authentication and secure communications and signing technologies. Moreover, the company says several of its clients will be demonstrating their own deployments of Imprivata technologies at the event, with Beaufort Memorial Hospital discussing the use of Imprivata OneSign in their presentation, “Improving Clinical Workflows with Fast Access & Communication”, and NorthShore University HealthSystem discussing the use of Imprivata fingerprint authentication technology in their presentation, “Improving Patient Safety and Provider Satisfaction with EPCS”. Imprivata will also participate in a panel discussion on “Advancing Care with Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS)”, and will host client several client presentations at its booth (#3848).
Imprivata has had a busy year so far. At the start of February the company unveiled its latest platform, Imprivata Confirm ID, to provide medical professionals with a means to securely provide digital prescriptions via e-signature technology. Very soon after that, the company struck a deal with Symantec to integrate its Confirm ID platform into Symantec’s Norton Secure Logon and its Validation and ID Protection Services (VIP). Given the growing popularity of digital, mobile, and remote solutions in the healthcare industry, Imprivata may well strike up some further friendships at HIMSS 2015.
