FST Biometrics‘ IMID biometric identification system has been integrated into AMAG’s Symmetry access control platform.
The move could significantly extend the market presence of IMID, which uses a combination of facial recognition and behavioral biometrics to automatically identify subjects. In a statement announcing the integration, FST asserted that AMAG’s Symmetry solution is FICAM, FIPS-201, and HSPD-12 certified, and has been used across a range of sectors including government, healthcare, banking, utilities, transportation, education, and commercial.
Commenting on the integration, FST Chief Marketing Officer Arie Melamed cited “a high degree of consistency between our market-leading visual identification solutions and AMAG’s security management solutions.” AMAG VP of Products and Partner Programs Dave Ella, meanwhile, expressed optimism about the results, saying, “We are looking forward to a long, successful partnership.”
News of the integration comes quickly after FST announced that its IMID technology had been deployed at the Bel-Air Bay Club in California’s Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
