FST Biometrics received major accolades at this year’s ISC West conference. The company was spotlighted for its IMID Mobile solution, winning the 2015 Security Sales & Integration MVP award in recognition of the product’s impact on integrators, and an Honorable Mention in the Security Industry Association’s 2015 New Product Showcase.
The company’s IMID (In-Motion Identification) technology uses a unique combination of biometric modalities, including face, voice, and motion pattern recognition, to identify and authenticate individuals. The advanced passive authentication that this technology has allowed has proven appealing, with FST’s flagship IMID Access system having recently been integrated into the Granite Club, a major social-athletic facility in Canada.
IMID Mobile is, of course, a mobile version of the system, an app that takes the passive authentication capabilities of IMID Access and repurposes them in a solution meant to offer security personnel an additional tool in identifying personnel. And the recognition it has received at ISC West is a clear indication that it could have some major appeal in the security market. Acknowledging the award in a press release, FST Biometrics CMO Arie Melamed Yekel said, “We deeply appreciate that our solutions continue to capture industry recognition at the highest levels,” adding that “FST Biometrics constantly strives to apply our innovation in new ways, as evidenced by IMID Mobile.”
