ImageWare will issue its latest quarterly corporate update next week. The company will issue its report on Tuesday, August 9th, with a conference call scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Eastern time that same day. The call will be hosted by CEO Jim Miller and CFO Wayne Wetherell, who will discuss the Q2 update and then host a Q&A session.
The specifics of the Q2 results will have to wait until next week, but there have been signs of progress in the company’s business over recent months. Having won patents and a big new client in the first quarter of this year, ImageWare has lately been preparing for the launch of its biometric identity platform, GoVerifyID, on Amazon Web Services. Furthermore, in May, the company appointed a tech industry veteran to its board in anticipation of growth in the commercial market.
It’s certainly a market with a lot of potential, with biometric authentication being embraced as a critical security mechanism by the likes of Microsoft, whose Windows 10 Anniversary Update is launching this week, and Samsung, which just unveiled a new smartphone featuring both fingerprint and iris scanning technology. There’s a lot of buzz over biometrics, in other words, and if ImageWare has been successful in leveraging it, it should have encouraging results in next week’s update.
