A security firm based in the UK’s West Midlands has contracted some extra security for its own surveillance center: Ievo has announced that its biometric fingerprint readers have been deployed at Cougar Monitoring’s operations center in Cradley Heath.
The center is staffed around-the-clock, with Cougar Monitoring security experts scanning CCTV feeds and monitoring alarm systems for clients, ready to dispatch emergency response teams whenever needed. The center thus demands strong security itself, not just to ensure that malefactors are kept out but also to protect confidential information with respect to Cougar Monitoring’s clients.
Ievo Ultimate fingerprint readers were deployed at the center’s external access points, while Ievo Micro readers were implemented at internal checkpoints in the center. The readers were deployed in conjunction with the Paxton Net2 access control software platform, and in cooperation with Securenett, a home and business security provider.
In a statement announcing the deployment, Securenett Operations Manager Craig Gwilliams said that the new biometric security systems “has been praised for its simplicity, effectiveness and security improvements to the facility and has proven to be very efficient and also cost-effective.”
News of the deployment arrives after Ievo’s fingerprint scanners were integrated into Thinking Software’s Rota Horizon time and attendance tracking platform this past summer.
