IDEMIA‘s IdentoGO organization has signed on its first NFL partner to promote its TSA PreCheck biometric authentication program — the New York Jets.
The partnership will see PreCheck registration made available to Jets fans at MetLife Stadium during all Jets home games this season. Those who sign up will then be have access to expedited, biometric security screening at participating airports around the country — a major time-saver as the TSA deals with growing crowds of travelers.
The collaboration could bring some PreCheck benefits directly to MetLife Stadium, too. In a statement announcing the partnership, the organizations said it also entails “an innovative pilot program focused on leveraging IdentoGO’s wide-range of technology with the sole purpose to be potentially implemented as part of the fan experience at New York Jets home games and other Jets events throughout the year.” What exactly that will look like isn’t yet clear, but it’s possible that it could involve expedited entry to PreCheck members at Jets games at some point in the future.
For now, though, the partnership is mainly a promotional effort. As IDEMIA CEO Didier Lamouche asserts, it will allow IdentoGO “to reach as many as 75,000 fans at each home game and enroll a high percentage of those people”. And the partnership will also see IdentoGO act as a “presenting partner” of the New York Jets Fan Hall of Fame, a fan recognition program launched by the Jets earlier this year.
