“Both integrations come by way of Fingerprint Cards, Precise Biometrics’ hardware partner.”
Precise Biometrics software is helping to power the biometric authentication capabilities of two major new smartphones, the company has announced. Its Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software has been integrated into the ZTE Blade A1 and the Huawei Changxiang 5S.
Both integrations come by way of Fingerprint Cards, Precise Biometrics’ hardware partner. FPC’s fingerprint sensors have long benefited from their use of Precise Biometrics software, and the company has reciprocated with numerous integrations over the past several months. Each of these new smartphones features an FPC1025 sensor, which has previously been integrated into a number of other Huawei smartphones, as well as ZTE’s Axon smartphone and the Axon Mini.
The integrations help to reinforce Precise Biometrics’ position as a major supplier of biometric algorithm software for smartphone OEMs, particularly in the Asia region. This line of business has been particularly lucrative for the company over the past year as the market for smartphone fingerprint sensors has expanded dramatically, with this kind of biometric technology being an increasingly standard feature of high-end and even mid-range mobile devices.
