Fingerprint biometrics and authentication solutions provider BIO-key has announced that a number of its partners in the healthcare sector will be showing off its technology at the HIMSS 2015 conference next week. The company has indicated that a range of its solutions will be on display.
Speaking in a press release, BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale explained that government regulations in the healthcare industry are helping companies in that sector to see the benefits offered by BIO-key’s technology. “As federal and state mandates for EPCS and secure access to patient information spread across the nation,” he said, “hospitals and clinics along with physicians and nurses appreciate the benefits that BIO-key technology delivers.”
He added that the company’s technology offers convenience for the healthcare provider, efficiency and security for the organization, and extra time for care for the patient. Among the partner’s that will be demonstrating these benefits are CA Technologies, HealthCast, IBM, and many more.
The company has its hands in a number of sectors, offering licensing partnerships to help secure the platforms of other major companies, and offering its own hardware as well as in the case of its recently-launched USB fingerprint reader. But it’s certainly no stranger to the healthcare market; at the start of this year, for example, BIO-key announced that its technology would be adopted in hospitals across four US states. With so many partners showing off its technology at a major healthcare conference, the company will maintain its rock-solid presence in this important sector.
