The GSMA has announced that it has added a large number of keynote speakers to the lineup for next year’s Mobile World Congress, which kicks off in Barcelona, Spain, on February 22, 2016. The group of new presenters is comprised entirely of executives, the majority of whom are, in fact, CEOs.
Listed in a press release issued on Monday, the new chief executives are from some of the biggest mobile-related companies from around the globe. The additional speakers are:
- Ralph de la Vega, President and CEO, AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions
- Gavin Patterson, CEO, BT Group
- Chuck Robbins, CEO, Cisco
- Guo Ping, Deputy Chairman and Rotating CEO, Huawei
- Karim Khoja, CEO, Roshan
- Patrick Collison, Co-Founder and CEO, Stripe
- Johan Dennelind, President and CEO, TeliaSonera
- Vittorio Colao, Chief Executive, Vodafone
- Sir Martin Sorrell, Chief Executive, WPP
That lineup, while impressive on its own, will bolster the already announced keynote itinerary, which boasts CEOs from companies representing a wide breadth of backgrounds and expertise, including Morpho (Safran), BuzzFeed, PayPal, UNICEF and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
Commenting on the MWC 2016 keynote schedule, Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer of GSMA said:
“We have an outstanding line-up of chief executives confirmed for this year’s Mobile World Congress, including several who are first-time keynotes at Barcelona. This year’s speakers will share insights on a range of hot topics in mobile, from mobile identity to the Internet of Things, from digital inclusion to industry disruption, from network evolution to entertainment, among others.”
