Green Bit will showcase its latest biometric readers at next week’s 12th Annual Homeland Security Week, the company has announced.
One of them, the DactyScan84t, is a ten-fingerprint scanner first announced in March of this year. It’s a USB 3.0 device that can scan four fingers simultaneously in only 1.2 seconds, and Green Bit says it can perform a roll capture in under half a second. In a statement announcing its participation in Homeland Security Week, Green Bit said the device’s predecessor, the DactyScan84c, “has been sold by the thousands for large scale project deployments” over the past two years.
The MultiScan527t, meanwhile, is a sequel to the original MultiScan527 launched back in 2013. It was officially unveiled at last month’s FedID 2017 conference, and features a streamlined user interface and an integrated heater system designed to ensure that it can scan fingers and palms effectively in a range of conditions. It is also FBI Appendix F and P certified.
Commenting on the devices to be showcased, Green Bit COO Sergio Rainero asserted that the optical sensor technology on which they’re based is “a proven traditional technology” that is “reputable and enhanced compared to other newer market technologies.” Green Bit says its new devices new devices will be available for order starting in Q4 of this year.
