Italy-based Green Bit is getting ready to unveil new hardware and software at next week’s Global Identity Summit (GIS) in Florida.

The hardware will come in the form of the DactyID20 fingerprint scanner. It’s the first in a new line of scanners called DactyID, and features FAP 20 FBI/PIV certification. It’s available as a desktop peripheral, or in an integration-ready version that OEMs can embed into their own products.

The software, meanwhile, offers spoofing detection for the already-released DactyScan84c scanner. Called GBT_FFD-DIEE, the software was developed in partnership with Cagliari University’s Electronic Engineering Department, and is available as an add-on to the company’s MultiScan_SDK.

The company has evidently been busy since it introduced its DactyScan84t scanner earlier this year, and any GIS attendees curious to see just how busy can have a look at its latest offerings at booth 515 during next week’s security conference.
