FastAFIS and BioHASH are two biometric matching technologies included in GenKey’s new software development kit (SDK). Released today, the new version of the large-scale ID solutions provider’s SDK suite, along with the ability to match poor quality fingerprints, shows significant performance improvements in speed and accuracy, with FastAFIS accounting for speed and BioHASH powering the security and verification.

According to GenKey CEO Michiel van der Veen, with this new release the company is looking to strengthen its position as a provider of biometric solutions in the African region, an area that was recently named as a rising “frontier market” by a Samsung Technology survey.
