“GenKey is also a sponsor of the Africa Healthcare Summit 2016, and will be an exhibitor at booth A1.”
Netherlands-based GenKey is making a name for itself in Africa’s healthcare market.
The company’s biometric identity platform for healthcare has been shortlisted for the Africa Healthcare Summit 2016 Awards, jockeying for Solution of the Year in the category of Awards for Technology and Solution Providers Operating in Africa and/or Exporting to Africa. The solution uses biometric verification as part of an identity management system that helps healthcare providers to process claims and reduce fraud; it has been launched in Ghana, where the company has also provided biometric election technology.
In a statement, GenKey CEO Michiel van der Veen said his team is “delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award,” adding the GenKey’s platform has had “a huge impact on the healthcare system in Ghana, offering long-term benefits.”
GenKey is also a sponsor of the Africa Healthcare Summit 2016, and will be an exhibitor at booth A1. GenKey Director of Business Development Seth Akumani will be on hand to give a presentation on the company’s healthcare solution, detailing how Ghana’s biometric registration and verification has helped its health insurer to reduce fraud and administrative costs.
