Further adapting its positioning for continuing growth, FST Biometrics is expanding its upper management. The company has appointed Gary Drutin as its new CEO; meanwhile previous CEO Aharon Zeevi Farkash “will shift his focus to the areas of innovation and strategy development,” according to a statement from the company.
Drutin previously held a position as sales and marketing head for Allot Communications, and before that he held executive positions with numerous tech and IT companies including Cisco and Digital Equipment Corporation. Commenting on Drutin’s appointment, Farkash emphasized “his outstanding sales and marketing experience”, adding, “I am looking forward to working closely with him to grow our business aggressively.”
It’s already growing well. This past summer, the company announced that it had seen a 30 percent increase in its customer base over the previous year, and that its In Motion Identification (IMID) platform, which uses a combination of facial, voice, and gait biometrics for authentication, was processing 1.5 million identifications per month.
Now, with its new CEO and a new board chairperson appointed in summer as well, the company says it’s poised for even more substantial growth in the identification market.
