Growth consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan has awarded FST Biometrics the 2016 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership.
The company is being recognized for its innovative In Motion Identification (IMID) system, which combines multiple biometrics including face, voice, and gait recognition for identification and authentication; it can also incorporate RFID technology. The technology has been used in a range of deployments, from the Israel Diamond Exchange to a Dutch technology museum, where it facilitates digital tours.
In a statement announcing the award, Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Analyst Taruna Hariparsad lauded IMID as a “software-centric” solution that “easily interoperates with existing access control systems and standard hardware, facilitating smooth and cost-effective installation.”
Acknowledging the award, FST Biometrics President Aharon Zeevi Farkash emphasized its propitious timing, asserting that it comes during what “has been a critical year for FST as we ready ourselves for a major growth phase.” The company has reported considerable growth in its customer base and has expanded its management team in recent months, and Zarkash said that FST has also “formed strategic partnerships with major security companies in Europe and the United States” as it has continued to position for further growth.
