UK-based Genie CCTV, a company offering access control, network IP, CCTV, and related solutions, has announced that it will now offer FST Biometrics‘ In Motion Identification (IMID) platform to its clients.
The IMID platform uses a combination of voice, facial, and gait biometrics to offers passive identification of individuals. With its unique combination of convenience and security, the solution has seen a range of applications and deployments, from a museum of innovation in the Netherlands, to a social recreation facility in Canada, to the Israel Diamond Exchange. And just last month, its maker, FST Biometrics, was named a preferred identity management vendor by the JCC Association of North America.
There is evidently considerable enthusiasm for the technology over at Genie, too. Announcing the company’s support for the IMID platform in a statement, Genie CEO Steve Baker called it “a great opportunity for us to widen our Access Control product portfolio and implement this cutting edge technology into our upcoming projects.”
The distribution partnership signals continuing momentum for FST Biometrics after the company enjoyed what CEO Yaron Zussman called an “excellent” 2015 in a recent interview with FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill, and bodes well for 2016.
