“A Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution from Tygart Technology, MXSERVER can process text, video and photo data, grouping and extracting relevant segments depicting people of interest.”
With the emergence of new media and social networking, police and intelligence operations have become overburdened with video feed watching and online sleuthing through Facebook pages and YouTube accounts. Luckily for the trained professionals of the world, biometric technology and innovations in Big Data analysis are freeing up their time once again.
Today, Identity E2E and Allevate Limited announced that MXSERVER has been made available as a Cloud-hosted service. The solution is meant to improve efficiency in police and intelligence operations targeted at organized crime, terrorism and civil unrest with the application of data analyzing software and facial biometrics.
“Our security services are faced with a relentless increase in digital media – from police body worn video, online sources such as Facebook and YouTube, confiscated phones and computers and, increasingly, ‘crowd-sourced’ from members of the public,” says Identity E2E’s Peter Wales. “Until now, there has been no easy and cost-effective way to access the intelligence this media contains. Experienced and expensive human capital has been assigned the rote task of watching countless hours of video in the hope of finding useful information.”

MXSERVER is now hosted on Skyscape, and will be provided to the United Kingdom public sector. Clients will also have the option of hosting it in their own secure facilities. Starting today, the biometric big data solution is available through the G-Cloud CloudStore for a monthly service fee.
This is another example of biometric software finding applications within existing infrastructure. Biometric Software Month is coming to a close this week, be sure to read the featured roundup and learn more about how these kinds of solutions can transform the world we live in.
