“BioCatch VP Frances Zelazny will discuss this technology in FindBiometrics’ upcoming webinar on the topic…”
Credit information specialist Experian will integrate BioCatch‘s behavioral biometrics technology into its CrossCore identity security platform, the companies have announced.
The technology, which assesses patterns in user behavior for authentication security, will be used to further counter the threat of fraud in Experian’s online services. In a statement announcing the integration, the companies suggested that BioCatch’s behavioral biometrics could be used to analyze how a user is interacting with a credit card application, for example.
Commenting on the integration, Experian Fraud and Identity Product Management VP Kathleen Peters said it’s “another example where clients can stay ahead of the latest fraud threats by easily accessing behavioral biometrics as part of their fraud prevention strategy.”
The integration comes soon after Nuance Communications also announced that it would leverage BioCatch’s technology in its fraud detection platform, and reflects growing enthusiasm about behavioral biometrics technology, which tied with iris scanning for third most exciting biometric modality in FindBiometrics’ latest Year in Review survey. BioCatch VP Frances Zelazny will discuss this technology in FindBiometrics’ upcoming webinar on the topic alongside representatives from NuData and Acuity Market Intelligence.
