Iris biometrics developer CMITech has announced that its has entered into a reseller agreement with Sensormatic Güvenlik Hizmetleri Tic. A.S., as well as its distribution affiliate Y3K Güvenlik Teknolojileri A.S., positioning the companies as its exclusive distributors in Turkey. Additionally, Sensormatic will retain its non-exclusive reselling rights in the Middle East region.
“Sensormatic is the ideal solution partner for CMITech, and we are delighted to form this special collaboration with them,” says CMITech COO Phil Tusa. “Their skills in customer solution definition, system integration and customer service are all outstanding; this alliance will bring some of the most advanced and cost effective iris recognition technology to customers throughout Turkey and the Middle East region.”
The partnership will see Sensormatic actively promoting CMITech’s iris recognition cameras, targeting end users across all market segments, positioning the technology as a key component in a customer’s identity management strategy. The partnership has already had some success.
Ismail Uzelli, CEO of Sensormatic, explains, “We have completed our first major installation of CMITech’s EMA-30 product with great success. These units have been deployed into a very high security access control project within our country’s critical infrastructure for several months. This highly demanding customer is well satisfied with the EMA system.”
Iris recognition biometrics are particularly well suited for border control and access control deployments, especially in high throughput areas. A contactless modality that can accurately authenticate at high speeds, iris recognition can keep crowds moving while ensuring only authorized personnel are reaching secured areas.
