A new report from prolific market research firm Research and Markets has been released, this one weighing in on the biometric border control market. Titled “2014 Border Control & Biometrics Market Assessment” the paper identifies key drivers, boosting trends and contains a market forecast stretching from 2014 to 2022.
The assessment confirms much of the positive things we know about the biometric border control market. The report points to a lower cost of systems that are now easier to integrate as a key driver in the market, as well as ending product lifecycles and increased government spending.
Those who have been following Biometric Border Control Month here at FindBiometrics will be well aware of the role that convenience plays in the demand for these systems. The report corroborates that too, underlining the balance of customer convenience with uncompromised security as a boosting trend.
This isn’t the first time positive light has been shone on biometric border control markets this year. In February, Acuity Market Intelligence released a report detailing the Automated Border Control (ABC) eGate and Kiosk market, which is predicted to hit $1.2 billion globally by 2020 with Europe dominating the market share.
