BioConnect and Visa are teaming up for a discussion on post-password security at this year’s Money20/20 conference.
Entitled ‘Streamlining Authentication, Empowering a World Beyond Passwords’, the session will look at the new kinds of data available from contemporary smartphones that can be leveraged for user authentication. Announcing the panel on the Money20/20 website, the team called it “rich data”, referring to information like biometrics, tracked behaviors, geolocation, and metadata.
The panel will be hosted by BioConnect VP of Strategic Marketing & Global Alliances Bianca Lopes and Visa SVP of Risk Products Mark Nelsen, both of whom have previously demonstrated their expertise in this area. Lopes’ company specializes in this area with its BioConnect platform, and she wrote about sophisticated authentication technologies such as biometrics after this year’s Money20/20 Europe in a FindBiometrics guest post. Meanwhile Visa’s Nelsen has been championing post-password security, outlining Visa’s exploration of biometrics at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Money20/20 will take place from October 23rd to 26th in Las Vegas, and the BioConnect-Visa panel is scheduled for the Tuesday, starting at 5:30pm.
