BIO-key and Microsoft have wrapped up their 12-city tour promoting Windows 10 and Windows Hello, and the companies are happy to proclaim it a success.
Windows Hello is, of course, the Windows 10 operating system’s major new security system, featuring biometric identification and authentication capabilities. Microsoft sought to promote this new system along with Windows 10 to the enterprise sector on a tour across the US, and as the company’s exclusive biometric solutions partner, BIO-key came along to demonstrate its compatible solutions, which feature built-in, plug-and-play compatibility with the operating system. Now, at the tour’s conclusion, BIO-key reports that 40 percent of attendees engaged with the company, curious about its biometric scanners.
Commenting on the tour’s success in a statement, US Windows & Devices General Manager Margaret Arakawa said Microsoft is “excited to see innovative partners like BIO-key offering high-quality biometric accessories that work seamlessly with Windows Hello,” suggesting that the solutions offer users “a more personal and secure authentication experience.”
BIO-key has received high-profile recognition for its products from the likes of growth consultancy Frost & Sullivan, so it’s no wonder that their time in the spotlight with Microsoft’s flagship new operating system drew some strong interest. And it suggests happy possibilities for the future; in a statement, BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale said his team is “thrilled with the positive reception we received at the Microsoft launch events, and are actively engaging with dozens of Fortune 100 companies that attended and want to know more about our solutions.”
