EyeLock LLC is going to show off some new technology at next week’s ASIS 2015 conference in Anaheim, California. Among its other iris biometrics offerings, EyeLock will highlight its new nano NXT product.
The iris scanner boasts of a number of advanced features. It’s capable of dual iris capture and matching, and can process up to 20 people per minute with a FAR (False Accept Rate) of 1 in 1.5 million for a single eye. It’s also capable of two-factor authentication via smart card, and can store the data of up to 20,000 users. Moreover, it features tamper detection, IEE 802.3af power over ethernet, and F2F, OSDP, Wiegand, and PAC protocols.
The device also comes with its own nano NXT SDK, which features a number of APIs and supports C#, C++, and Java programming languages, in addition to Linux and Windows (via Microsoft .NET) platforms.
