Anviz has opened two new offices in South Africa. The Anviz SA (Pty) Ltd. bases mark the company’s first entry into the continent.
The new offices are located in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with the umbrella organization of Anviz SA being led by Garth Du Preez, who the company called “a seasoned security professional in the South African market” in a press release. The company also indicated that its new base of operations demonstrates its long-term interest in the region and the continent more broadly. Commenting on the development, Du Preez emphasized the business opportunities available to a company like Anviz, asserting, “Market opportunities are abundant in Africa, particularly in the security industry where providing secure, affordable and reliable solutions easily increase business efficiency and profit margins.”
It’s a major development since the company upgraded its Asia-Pacific facilities last fall. In the interim, Anviz has been busy with some major security deployments around the world, and has also been showing off flagship products such as its Crosschex biometric access control and time and attendance tracking platform, which it highlighted at this year’s ASIS security conference. Now, Anviz’s entry into southern Africa may be an indication that those efforts are paying off with major growth opportunities.
