Biometric solutions provider Anviz Global has integrated an access control and time tracking system for a major insurance frim in India. The systems are now installed in the many sales locations of Futurisk Insurance in major cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Chennai.
Futurisk had encountered some disconcerting security issues prior to the deployments. Customers were inadvertently entering staff-only parts of their facilities, and in deciding to get a biometric access control system, the company also saw an opportunity to improve employee performance with biometric time and attendance tracking. For its solution, Anviz combined its T60 and T5 Pro systems to enable fingerprint scanning as well as smart card reading, ensuring that only authorized staff could enter restricted areas, and that their biometric data could be collected to monitor their daily activities.
Anviz has experience with access control deployments, and indeed has worked at a larger scale, having had a major deployment at the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Paraguay last year, for example. That same year, the company also went ahead with a major attendance tracking deployment at 27 branches of the Sudameris Bank, also in Paraguay. Such high-profile deployments may be a reflection of the company’s focus on high-quality technology; last summer it launched an iris-based access control system that could scan from 25cm away and even in total darkness; and in the autumn it opened a new R&D lab in Shanghai.
