Biometric security industry leader Aratek is expected to showcase a number of solutions at the 6th Border Management and Identity Conference (BMIC), with an emphasis placed on its border control self-service kiosk.
“As cross-border mobility starts to pick up again in a post-pandemic world, Aratek’s innovative solutions will be at the forefront helping authorities do a better job at managing and controlling borders with the use of digital identity,” said Samuel Wu, the Vice President of Aratek’s International Business Division.
The company’s self-service kiosk is capable of quickly reading multiple IDs and e-passports, and comes with a smart touchscreen providing users with a frictionless registration experience. The machine — which comes with automatic height-adjusting cameras and supports ICAO-compliant facial image capture — uses Aratek’s liveness detection technology to combat spoofing attempts. It also feature an FBI-certified fingerprint scanner.
At the event, Aratek is also expected to place a spotlight on its handheld biometric terminals and tablets, which are utilized at borders and airports around the world by in-the-field personnel.
The 6th BMIC will take place between December 7 -9, in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel.
