Anviz to Launch M5 Biometric Access Control In Concert With IFSEC International 2014

Anviz Global announced today that its new biometric access control device, M5, will be launched in concert with the upcoming IFSEC 2014 exhibition, running June 17 through 19 in London, England.

M5 is designed with versatility in mind, sporting durable exterior features allowing for outdoor deployments as well as indoor installations. It is resistant to tampering and abuse thanks to its metal housing and vandal alarm. Additionally, an IP65 rating means that weather is not a deployment concern when it comes to the multi-factor device.

Anviz’s new device identifies via fingerprint biometrics and no-touch RFID capabilities. It uses the Anviz developed BioNano algorithm for template extraction and matching, with biometric data being stored in the device itself.

The special thing about Anviz’s algorithm is that though it stores the image of the enrolled print, a positive authentication that produces a clearer image will allow for automatic update of the data. M5 can store up to 100,000 records and can still boast a compact design despite the long list of features.
