Alcatraz’s The Rock is One of I&TT’s 50 Most Innovative Products

Innovation & Tech Today (I&TT) has listed Alcatraz AI’s the Rock as one of its Top 50 Most Innovative Products for 2022. The publisher’s annual Top 50 list highlights cutting-edge products in a number of different sectors, covering everything from software products and connected services to new gadgets for the home and the workplace. Categories include health technology, connected life, and gaming and entertainment.

The Rock, meanwhile, is an access control solution that uses facial recognition to verify the identities of registered users. The platform is designed primarily for enterprise use cases, where its tailgating detection feature is particularly appealing to organizations that want to prevent people from following employees into a building. In that regard, the Rock can send a real-time notification to security personnel if an unfamiliar face manages to get through the door.

For legitimate users, the Rock enables contactless access control backed up with multi-factor authentication. It also makes enrollment simple, since the platform can learn to recognize users as they approach a point of entry.
