Alcatraz has partnered with New York Security Solutions (NYSS) in an effort to reach potential customers on the East Coast. The facial recognition specialist is based in Silicon Valley, and is specifically hoping to boost sales of its Alcatraz Rock access control system.
To that end, NYSS will act as an official Rock reseller, and will integrate the platform into the security solutions it develops for its clients. NYSS designs and installs security systems for organizations in and around the New York area, and has already secured more than 20,000 access points with 60,000 video devices for over 100 customer organizations. The company itself is also a Managed Security Technology Provider.
“NYSS has an excellent reputation for delivering comprehensive security solutions and we’re excited to be able to provide them with the Alcatraz Rock platform,” said Alcatraz Chief Revenue Officer Tina D’Agostin.
“We take pride in the effort we put into choosing a security product to recommend to our clients and we have been impressed with the Alcatraz Rock platform and its ability to deliver touchless access control,” added NYSS Sales and Marketing VP Cody Flood. “The touchless aspect is particularly relevant in a post-COVID society.”
The Rock can link an employee profile to a face when that employee uses a badge to swipe in, which streamlines the enrollment process. The platform can spot tailgaters, and recently added a Mask Enforcer feature that detects masks and ensures that visitors are following the proper public safety protocols.
The partnership with NYSS is one of several steps that Alcatraz has taken to drive sales in the past few months. The company hired a new Product Marketing Manager, a new VP of Product, and a new Director of Business Development, and has also teamed up with Channeltivity to make it easier for Alcatraz dealers to manage potential leads.
