Alcatraz Looks to Extend UK/EU Reach With Switched On Space Partnership

Alcatraz AI is looking to extend its reach across the UK and European markets through a new partnership with London-based Switched On Space.

The latter is a proptech specialist offering an array of solutions to clients with the goal of using IoT and sensor technologies to collect smart analytics about how clients’ spaces are used. The firm has a strong focus on helping to reduce carbon emissions, noting on its website that commercial buildings waste nearly 30 percent of the energy they use.

The automated access control enabled by Alcatraz’s biometric technology would seem a nice fit for Switched On Space’s portfolio, offering the latter’s clients a security solution that could reduce costs related to building security and reception.

“We believe that this technology will improve our world, environment, and our lives,” enthused Switched On Space Project Manager Gaby Fraser in a statement announcing the partnership. “Given the recent events of the past year, it is now more important than ever to navigate spaces safely. Alcatraz AI achieves the perfect fit for us and what we are trying to achieve with our technology.”

The Switched On Space announcement arrives just a few weeks after the news that Alcatraz AI had teamed up with another reseller partner, RFI Communications and Security, further burnishing its reseller network. Alcatraz also raised its profile earlier this summer with the news that it was providing contactless access control for the Los Angeles Football Club’s Banc of California Stadium.

Now, the company is looking to further heighten its profile thanks to the Switched On Space partnership, with Alcatraz AI CEO Tina D’Agostin suggesting that its flagship biometric solution, The Rock, will find itself in good company within Switch On Space’s platform.
