BrainBox AI will be partnering with Alcatraz to provide a safe workplace as employees return to the office. The company is a green building and building automation specialist based in Montreal, and is currently in the process of transitioning back to an in-person work environment after staff were asked to work remotely during the pandemic.
The problem, of course, is that many of those people are still worried about COVID-19, with Alcatraz noting that two-thirds of the workforce is concerned about the health and safety of physical workspaces. BrainBox is hoping that Alcatraz can help address that problem, and will be installing the Rock for health screening and access control at all points of entry.
The Rock is a multi-factor facial authentication solution with 3D sensing capabilities. The system will identify and grant access to registered employees, while denying access to any strangers who try to enter the building. The Rock will immediately notify administrators about any unauthorized access events, and the platform can be integrated with an existing Video Management System to make those alerts easier to manage.
The Rock also offers mask detection, which is to say that it can determine whether or not employees are wearing their masks properly when they arrive at work. The feature will help enforce mask mandates, and minimize the health risks for BrainBox’s staff.
BrainBox is still operating with a limited capacity, but mask detection should allow the company to maintain a safe environment as more people return over the next few months. The Rock can stop people from entering without a mask, and has tailgating detection to prevent people from following someone else into the building. Since the Rock is touchless, people do not need to make contact with a shared touchpoint when they get to the office.
“Our employees’ safety is always our top priority,” said BrainBox Co-Founder and CTO Jean-Simon Venne. “We are confident The Rock will give each BrainBox AI employee peace of mind when returning to the office.”
Alcatraz has signed several distribution partnerships in the past few years, and the BrainBox agreement indicates that those partnerships are starting to pay dividends. The Rock has also been deployed at the LA Football Club’s Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
