“To make the transition as smooth as possible, Nedap developed a new Bio-API that makes it easier to incorporate biometric technology into AEOS.”
The Dutch company Nedap has announced that it will be integrating Suprema’s fingerprint recognition tech – specifically the BioStar 2 solution – into its AEOS access control platform. The move is part of Nedap’s ongoing efforts to modernize its portfolio with the latest in biometric security.
“Biometric technology is consolidating security with unparalleled convenience,” said Nedap Alliance Manager Ruben Brinkman. “We’re fully embracing these developments and view the BioStar integration as a valuable extension to our proposition.”
To make the transition as smooth as possible, Nedap developed a new Bio-API that makes it easier to incorporate biometric technology into AEOS. BioStar will constantly synchronize with AEOS through secure SSL certificates, thereby allowing clients to enroll and manage fingerprint identities with BioStar while still working in AEOS.
“The primary goal for this integration has always been to provide a truly flexible and scalable solution that’s easy to implement and maintain,” added Brinkman.
The partnership continues a strong news month for Suprema. The company is currently showcasing a new mobile credentialing service at IFSEC 2019, and launched the BioMini Slim 3 fingerprint sensor ahead of ID4Africa. Citrix also certified the BioMini SDK for use with the former’s IT management platform.
