One of the biggest religious healthcare systems in the US has embraced Imprivata’s biometric patient identification system. Florida-based Adventist Health System is now using the company’s PatientSecure platform.
The system uses palm vein biometrics to accurately link patients to their medical records, allowing for more effective and efficient patient identification and the elimination of duplicate records, among other administrative benefits. It’s now being used in 29 Adventist Health System facilities across multiple states, from North Carolina to Wisconsin to Texas, and will soon be expanded across the entire AHS network, ultimately serving millions of patients each year.
It’s a major deployment following soon after another, with NYU Lutheran recently having incorporated PatientSecure into a huge modernization project. Back in Florida, the system was also recently deployed at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills.
