Acuant and iDentyTech have teamed up to bring the former’s document validation technology into the iDentyTech IDT platform.
The partnership means that iDentyTech’s kiosks, such as its IDT Virtual Guard Tower, can be used to scan IDs using Acuant’s AssureID solution, which is designed to capture both biometric and biographic data from official identity documents. End users can thus have their identities biometrically authenticated without the need for intervention from a human authority.
In a statement announcing the partnership, executives from both companies highlighted their combined technologies’ access control applications, withAcuant CEO Yossi Zekri asserting that the collaboration will enable customers to “easily manage their facility’s physical security and authenticate IDs.” iDentyTech CEO Ephram Yeashoua added that the combined solution means “a single guard can manage several entry points into a property or facility, ensuring only authorized people are allowed to enter.”
News of the partnership comes soon after Acuant’s announcement that its identity verification technology would be leveraged by MGT Micro Gaming Technologies to help register players at its clients’ casinos.
